Lleyn peninsula

The Lleyn peninsula also known by its Welsh name of the Llŷn extends from north west Wales. Part of Gwynedd, it is a stronghold of the Welsh language. The peninsula was traditionally traversed by pilgrims to Bardsey Island, and is now a popular holiday destination. Settlements on the Lleyn include:

• Aberdaron, Abersoch
• Criccieth
• Llanbedrog
• Nefyn
• Pwllheli
